Green Tomatoes
Storage: Green tomatoes are best stored in a dry, unheated area between 55-70°F.
Preparation: Green tomatoes are most commonly prepared by frying, but they can also be pickled, baked and stewed. They are also great for salsa verde or a pasta sauce.
Taste: Firm, acidic and sour.
Nutritional Benefits: Ripe green tomatoes contain plenty of vitamins such as vitamins A and C, as well as potassium. They also contain iron, calcium, dietary fiber, magnesium and other minerals.
