Husk Cherry (or Ground Cherry)

Storage: Remove the husks and store in the fridge for 5-7 days.

Preparation: Ground cherries are best eaten straight out of the husk. You can also turn them it a jam, chop them up and throw them in a salsa or a salad, or add them to muffins or pancakes.

Taste: Sweet, but slightly tart.

Nutritional Benefits: Husk cherries are high in dietary fiber, vitamin C, calcium and potassium.
