            “As a member of a large close-knit family, summer to me always means huge picnics and barbeques with the grandparents, second cousins, and everyone in between. We all gather at my grandfather’s house in southern New Hampshire, each family responsible for contributing an item to the sprawling communal meal. When offered the bounty of summer veggies and herbs provided by Katchkie Farms and Great Performances, I couldn’t help but think of those long sunny days enjoying each other’s company and the variety of small bites and shareable salads. With the provided ingredients I chose to create three different dishes which can be served cold for a refreshing summer meal. I wanted to incorporate my love and fascination with Asian cuisine, specifically Thai and Sichuan cooking, and reference my mom’s abiding love for all things pasta salad.”
